| It was dark and rainy outside while Roy was in his office doing paperwork. He didn't like doing paper work, but he had to get it done before the day ended. He was eager to get home and do completely nothing at home. He thought that was better then sitting at the office doing work. Only thing that kept him signing papers was he wanted the promotion. To become Fuhrer, to be in charge of everyone below his rank, so he wouldn't have to do anything he thinks is unreasonable. Roy heard voices outside his slightly opened window speaking. He recongized one of the voices sounded irritated. He turned around to look through the window, but found it to dark to see. He stood up from his chair to get his umbrella from the closet.
He walked out of Central opening up the umbrella, so that he doesn't get wet. He walked over to the gate to see the source of the voices. The guard that was placed there a few years ago stood there arguing and making some 'short' comments. The first thing that came through Roy's head was 'Edward Elric'. Roy heard his name from an irritated voice. Curiousity made him look to the side of the guard to see the person talking to the guard. It was indeed Edward Elric, but someone was with him. A woman around his age standing behind him with a white dress and black hair. He heard the guard saying, "If you don't leave I will." and decided to interupt, "That is enough, Ruzo." The guard turned around to give him an almost terrified expression, "Yes, sir." The guard saluted. Edward looked over at Roy in a confused look. The woman behind him looked at Roy as well. Roy looked at her then to Edward, "It is good to see you Full Metal. It has been several years." Edward spoke to him like he didn't hear Roy, "I need to know where my brother Al is." Roy stared at Ed with a serious silent expression. The rain drops was the only thing creating noise for a moment till Roy respond, "Let us talk inside my office." Roy looked over at the guard and the guard flinched dropping his salute and opening the gate for Edward and the woman. Ed lead the woman passed the gate into central.
As soon as Roy reentered his office he walked over to his desk and set the umbrella against it. He pulled the chair out and sat down in to it. Edward and the woman walked in and immediantly sat down. The woman sat down on a couch while Edward sat down somewhere else. Roy had a thought in his mind and he placed his elbows on the desk putting his hands together and setting his chin on the back of them with a grin, "So Edward where did you find this one?" He stared at the woman that sat closest to him. Edward's calm expression quickly turned into an irritated one, "Don't you even think about it!" Edward got up to sit next to the woman like he was defending her from him. Roy chuckled, "Don't worry, I have one of my own." Edward recovered his calm expression, "Really?" Roy nodded. Edward continued, "So, everyone thinks I'm dead now huh?" Edward gave a slight glare at Mustang. Roy remembered Edward telling him to tell the others that he was just traveling, which he did. Roy responds, "I did tell everyone what you requested to me, but after a couple months people started looking for you. A life was lost, so I had to tell the public that you were dead, so they could stop looking for you." Edward stared at him for a moment then changed the subject, "Where is my brother? The location that he lived is now occupied by a family." Roy dropped his arms and stood up with a slight frown on his face. He turned around to make his back face them. Edward was completely silent, but his eyes were wide like he knew what he was about to hear next. Roy finally decided to respond, "Your brother passed away a couple months ago by a sickness, Edward." He didn't want to turn to look at Edward's face. This brought back memories when Roy found out that Maes Hughes passed away. He could hear Edward stand up from the couch, "Where is he!?" He shouted at Roy in disbelief. Roy turned around and walked over to his desk opening up a drawer to pull out a small piece of paper and a pen from ontop of his desk. He wrote down an address of where his grave was placed in and directions and lifted the paper to Edward, "Here..." Edward quickly walked over to him and grabbed the paper immediantly taking off out the door leaving the woman behind. The woman stood up and looked at Mustang for a split second before running after Edward. Roy stood there looking out his open door feeling pity for Edward. He sat back down at his desk staring at the papers he still had to sign, but he couldn't make himself write his signature on any of them as his mind started to drift off. |
